The American Clean Skies Foundation, (ACSF) seeks an experienced Development
Director to broaden its funding base and underwrite new program initiatives in the
transportation and electric power sectors. (See e.g., the “Oil Shift” and “No Regrets”
reports at cleanskies.org). The ideal candidate must have a proven record of fund-raising,
a passion for change and at least seven (7) years of experience working in one or more of
the following capacities: development or program officer at a large private or corporate
foundation, or an industry association; business experience in the energy industry; and/or
government or policy experience working on energy issues.

The American Clean Skies Foundation is a Washington D.C. non-profit founded
in 2007 to advance America’s energy independence and a cleaner environment through
expanded use of natural gas, renewables and efficiency. The Foundation implements its
mission primarily by encouraging large scale fuel switching in the electric power sector
based on innovative regulatory and business proposals; and promoting alternative
fuel vehicles, especially natural gas powered vehicles, using public policy tools and
demonstration projects. Both of these program initiatives seek to catalyze change
through carefully targeted government interventions and entrepreneurial activity. ACSF
also supports a wide range of educational programs, including white papers, conferences,
workshops, films, and web sites.
