NextGen Climate Action seeks a Fundraiser / Fund Development manager to lead the organization’s fundraising goals. NextGen Climate Action is a political action organization founded by clean-energy advocate and philanthropist Tom Steyer to champion policies that will help to address climate change.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Create and implement annual fundraising plan and strategy 

·         Lead and manage NextGen's overall fundraising

·         Plans and executes fundraising events  

·         Train and lead other staff to support fundraising and marketing efforts 

·         Develop and grow our individual donor base; manage annual giving campaign; cultivate major gifts while using Salesforce to manage these contacts and events.

·         Plans implements all fund development activities of the Organization, including current and planned giving programs.

·         Makes personal calls on prospective donors.

·         Accepts gifts from donors an assures that receipts and thank you letters are sent promptly and according to policy

·         Plans and attends all functions of the Organization – including special events for fund raising purposes.

·         Maintains Organization calendar for annual activities, meetings, etc.

·         Maintains all donor and fund development records.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1.       Bachelor's degree

2.       4-6 years of experience in a relevant field

3.       Ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines are a must.

4.       S/he must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate consistent attention to detail.

5.       Excellent communication skills.

6.       Strong business acumen and commitment to results.

7.       Ability to communicate clearly.

8.       Ability to work well in teams as well as to pursue and complete independent tasks.

9.       Proactive, responsible, and responsive

10.    Self-driven

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and the like.
