The Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation is a multigenerational collective of dynamic women,
collaborating through grant making and communal engagement to create social change for women and
girls. The Foundation, rooted in Jewish values, develops sophisticated philanthropists acting as agents
of change. We invest in capable organizations, partnering to create synergies and foster lasting change.
By convening and educating our Trustees and the community, we create awareness about critical issues.
The Foundation’s work targets our local Jewish community the local low-income communities and Israel.

TOWF seeks an experienced, dynamic Director to increase the impact of our growing and thriving
Foundation. The right candidate will bring executive thought leadership, be creative, resourceful,
strategic and organized. Strong communication skills are essential, as well as a proven track record of
working with lay and professional leaders, and the ability to facilitate, collaborate and engage Trustees
and the community in the multi-faceted mission of the Foundation.
Acting under the direction of the Foundation’s Chair and Executive Committee, responsibilities include:
Maximize the Trustee experience and outcome; partner with Trustees to expand membership and
provide ongoing opportunities for engagement; foster educational and leadership development
opportunities.
Create and implement programming for Trustees and the community, including meetings, retreats and
educational events.
Develop marketing materials and social media to grow the Foundation.
Develop resources, pursue new sources of funding through personal and direct solicitation; work with
Trustees to plan and implement awareness and fundraising events.
Manage overall operations and staff of TOWF.
Oversee budget, working with Federation’s account and financial department on asset and resource
administration.
Engage the community as an ambassador of TOWF; elevate the Foundation’s visibility and
build/maintain strategic partnerships in the Jewish and women’s philanthropic sectors.
QUALITIES and QUALIFICATIONS
• A minimum of 5+ years of professional and leadership experience, preferably in a non-profit
setting
• Deep commitment to creating social change for women and girls and developing Jewish
Philanthropy
• Successful track record in volunteer or board development, grant-writing, fundraising and /or
grant-making
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Jewish community and culture, as well as Jewish communal service preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required
