PROJECT ASSOCIATE

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Project Associate is a full-time, permanent position and will be responsible for providing

project management and support to clients and administrative support to the principal.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Client Management (50%)

 Track and monitor client activities. Ensure follow-up items from meetings are distributed and acted on.

  •   Assist on drafting development plans and producing written materials for clients as needed.
  •   Conduct extensive research on prospective funding opportunities for clients including, foundations, corporations, and individual donors; draft prospective donor profiles and

briefings and develop prospect lists.

  •   Create and organize development materials for clients, including templates,spreadsheets, and reports.
  •   Compile notes and data from informational stakeholder interviews.
  •   Assist on client events as needed.
  •   Respond to client and prospective client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  •   Utilize CRM databases and track work flow.

Administrative and Office Management (50%)

 Assist with principal's scheduling and travel.

 Manage billing and expenses

 Assist principal with day-to-day firm management including administration and business development.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES DESIRED

  •   Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently but collaboratively.
  •   Ability to manage multiple projects successfully and work well on multiple deadlines.
  •   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •   Excellent customer-service skills, detail-oriented and dependable.
  •   Grace under pressure.
  •   Experience with Database Management, MS Office Suite, and Wealth Research toolssuch as WealthEngine or Donor Search.
  •   Commitment to progressive causes.
  •   Bachelor's degree required.

 1-2 years development/fundraising experience preferred.

LOCATED IN: Washington, D.C.
