United Republic seeks a new, dynamic Campaign Coordinator. United Republic is a new organization fighting the corrupting influence of well-financed special interests over American politics and government. We welcome the energy and creativity of citizens of all stripes – progressive, conservative and independent – who envision a nation where the needs and ideas of the many aren't drowned out by the influence of the wealthy few. We aim to transform our nation's outrage over corruption, gridlock, and cronyism into a powerful political force that can demand and deliver lasting change. We will hold politicians accountable; expose how corporate lobbyists hurt ordinary Americans; build a coalition of supporters from left, right and center; and provide financial support to the best people and organizations working on solving the problem.

Reporting to the Campaign Director, the Campaign Coordinator is responsible for helping coordinate public education and advocacy campaigns related to money in politics reform. This position will support the organization's core advocacy, outreach, and organizing functions and help ensure all of United Republic's campaign activities are professionally executed and aligned with the group's mission, message, and priorities.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the implementation of campaign action plans and timelines.

• Prepare campaign materials.

• Assist in the design of grassroots strategies.

• Coordinate the distribution of campaign materials to organizers, volunteers and interested parties.

• Coordinate efforts of organizers and volunteers to ensure appropriate staffing and materials for events.

• Implement online campaigns on websites, blogs and social media networks in conjunction with United Republic's communications and marketing team.

• Assist in supporting grassroots activists and local advocacy groups.

• Assist in preparation of monthly campaign reports.

Qualifications include:

• Strong online and frontline grassroots campaigns skills.

• Demonstrated organizing experience, either online or with grassroots groups; previous public interest work preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with senior management.

• A basic understanding of online research and general computer skills, some basic HTML knowledge and familiarity with social media preferred.

• Familiarity with public policy issues.

• Strong writing and communication skills.

• Self-starter with an imaginative and optimistic can-do attitude.

• Ability to quickly to respond to new developments and thrive in a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
